Lexus dealers in New York take note; charging into this week's Sahlen's 6 Hrs. of The Glen, Lexus is the only auto in Daytona Prototype competition to win each of the 3 slated endurance races: Daytona, Watkins Glen and Miller Motorsports Park in Utah.
Lexus cars have won the last 2 Grand-Am endurance competitions and 3 of the last 4 with Chip Ganassi Racing (CGR) winning both the 2006 and 2007 Rolex Twenty-Four's and Michael Shank Racing (MSR) winning last year's nine hr. race in Utah. In addition to the 2 Daytona wins, Ganassi also won the 2004 6 Hrs. at The Glen.
Not many other racers have driven as many miles at Watkins Glen as CGR's Lexus racer, Scott Pruett. The northern California son won the last Grand-Am event last August and also was victorious in the 2004 6-hour race.
