So remember, I was searching for Lexus dealers New York, it didn't even occur to me that I should include  Lexus dealers in New Jersey, now that I’ve put my search in to Google for Lexus car dealers in New York, it’s obviously a lot simpler living out west. For New York I get 1,170,000 websites that I'm sure include Lexus dealers in New Jersey as well, but for Phoenix I get a mere 740,000. So it will take me much less time to go through them all to determine which ones are the best Lexus car dealers. I know what you’re thinking and you’re right, I’m not that stupid and neither are you. In fact, Google has made this determination easy for us. Not a single listing of the top ten, aka first page, is a Lexus car dealer in New York or a Lexus dealer in New Jersey and the same goes for the query out west. Funny thing is the top ten are almost the exact same for each with Edmunds placing number one. Whereas none of the top listings are for Lexus dealers, all the ads around those listings are. So the lesson here is simple, no Lexus dealer in New Jersey or New York makes it to top of Google’s Lexus car dealers in New York list without paying the price.

So what right? We’re still looking for our Lexus dealership and the only real conclusion is that we can use Google to find them. Not by the actual site relevancy matches, but by the advertising, the adwords Lexus dealers are using in their region to garner local business. This, as facetious as it sounds is ironically effective for Phoenix as well.

Anyway, out of the first three pages on Google I still have no actual result that is a Lexus car dealer in New Jersey or a Lexus dealer in New York. I’m not saying Google is totally useless for this, but you are not going to find a dealer very efficiently this way. That being said the obvious occurs; change the search. We could try an alternative Google search or we could always take Google’s suggestion and what their to listing Edmunds has to offer with regard to New York Lexus dealers.
