Lexus cars are all about prestige and luxury. In general, only upper middle class Americans can afford Lexus cars. Lexus cars aren’t the first brand of vehicle that comes to mind when somebody utters the phrase “environmentally conscious.” However, the 2008 Lexus RX400h is one of the few hybrid vehicles that combines low emissions with sport utility performance. The 2008 Lexus RX400h has had some very good reviews. This car has made an impact on critics because it’s one of the few autos that provide a fuel-efficient option in the lavish SUV market.
Of all Lexus cars, this model is, in my opinion, the best choice for the middle class American family. It is spacious, has a plush interior, drives well and cuts down gasoline consumption and air pollution. It gets between 26 and 28 miles per gallon, which is impressive considering it weighs over 4,000 pounds. This vehicle has a combined 268 horsepower, which comes from a 3.3-liter V6 and twin electric motors. The RX 400h is very quick for mid size luxury SUV. It can reach a speed of 60 mph in just under 7 seconds.
Like all Lexus cars, the RX400h is quite expensive. It costs around $42,000. However, considering the money saved on gasoline consumption, this vehicle is worth the extra money.
