The future of Lexus cars looks pretty bright after a recent Edmunds Inside Line report published the company’s plans up until 2011. The report said that Lexus cars will see the “LF-A supercar by 2011 and will slot an entry level model below the IS sedan (usnews).” The consumer version of this car will be found at Lexus dealers as a competitor of BMW’s new 1-series and Audi’s A3. Both of these vehicles are gas friendly and pocket friendly cars that still keep the same quality expected from these foreign brands. It comes down to consumers wanting more bang for their buck while getting the appropriate gas mileage. If you have not checked out the BMW 1-Series then watch the video below. Lexus plans to offer a model that will compete in the coming years.

The Edmunds report also stated that every single model of their production cars will be offered in hybrid form. That is great news for everyone. It is no secret that the auto industry is moving toward hybrid or alternative fueled vehicles but it is nice to see that all Lexus cars will follow this trend by 2011.
